Overview
Georgia
Power is creating partnerships with retailers and manufactures
to promote the sales of ENERGY STAR qualified lighting and
appliances through educational initiatives.

Implementation
The Georgia Power ENERGY STAR program has a full time field representative. The goal is to educate sales staff on the benefits of ENERGY STAR qualified products in either a pre-arranged formal setting, or one on one informal setting. The field representative also holds mini-promotions at various The Home Depot locations throughout the year in an effort to educate consumers on the benefits of ENERGY STAR qualified product. Large scale full day events are also held, increasing sales of qualified lighting significantly.
In addition to education and training, pre-approved point of purchase materials are placed on ENERGY STAR qualified product.
