Understanding your own communication style in relation to others’ ensures that people are receiving your information in a way they accept and understand. This is crucial to effective sales.

This is the basis for the successful Energized Sales Training course.

Originally developed by APT, the Energized Sales Training module is not a “closing” strategy class, but a thorough training to quickly identify consumer’s (and your own) style and needs. This helps all of us better understand and be understood so that we can have more effective communication.

This three hour, PowerPoint based training incorporates attendee interaction and group breakout sections to apply the techniques they are learning. For post session support, attendees receive numerous aids, tools and take-aways, some being product specific. There are posters for each attendee, wallet cards to keep the techniques readily available, usually a handout such as an imprinted calculator, and various product specific educational materials.

 

Since it’s introduction in 1998, APT has used this training to increase ENERGY STAR product sales in retail sectors from Big Box and independent appliance retailers, industrial motor vendors, lighting showrooms and in-home ENERGY STAR Windows sales. To date over 1,000 retail salespersons have been trained and the results have been remarkable, with some major retail salespersons reporting a sales increase of 18%.
