MotorUp
(originally NE Premium Efficiency Motor Initiative) is
a regional electric motor program which sought to increase
the market penetration of Premium Efficient, three phase
electric motors. MotorUp was instrumental in the design
and adoption of the NEMA Premium® standard in 2002, and
led the way in Best Practice Motor Management, and DOE Motor
Master+ software education.
Implementation
The field
implementation team provides services to motor dealers,
including Program education, Motor Management Best Practices
training, ride-alongs to customers, Motor Master+ installations
and seminars. Marketing materials include a quarterly MotorUp oversized newsletter to 20,000+ utility customer motor users, point of purchase displays, posters, calendars and so on. Program
management and Rebate processing and reporting is handled
at the APT home office in Springfield, MA.
