Overview
The
Energy Star fixture pilot program
was designed to enhance current
investments of participating Puget Sound utilities
and Clark PUD in developing channel
support for ENERGY STAR fixtures.
Program was initiated in response to the desire by specific utilities in the Puget Sound market that have a strong commitment to the market transformation success of ENERGY STAR fixtures. The pilot program is a supply channel-focused strategy that will leverage Puget Sound utilities current efforts.
The participating utilities include: Puget Sound Energy, Tacoma Power, Snohomish PUD, Seattle City Light and Clark PUD.
Program Implementation
Program is
being implemented by ICF International and Applied
Proactive Technologies. ICF is handling management of the project and Applied Proactive Technologies is responsible for field support and field marketing efforts to Builders, Builder
Reps, Lighting Showrooms and other ENERGY STAR fixture
market actors.
Pilot projects to be implemented include an:

Builder Rep Pilot Strategy.

Training and Outreach Partnership.

Leveraging Advocates Pilot Strategy.

Model Home Demo and Lighting Days.
These pilot projects will start in early 2008.
Summary of Results
In working closely with
the participating Utilities over the past six
months, we have been able to research the Energy Star
fixture market further and develop the four Pilot
projects listed above.
